Population +1 is a private keepsake for your family. Baby milestones, photos, and memories stay on your device. We never see your family's data — and neither does anyone else.
Population +1 is a keepsake companion for new parents. It helps you track your baby's milestones, save precious memories, record firsts, play lullabies, and celebrate your newborn's arrival — all in a private, family-only space.
We take the privacy of your family's data — especially data about infants and young children — with the utmost seriousness. The entire app is designed to work without any internet connection or user account.
Population +1 stores the following data locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server:
You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app. All data is stored using your device's secure local storage.
Population +1 may request access to your photo library to let you add keepsake photos to your baby's memory book. If you grant access:
Photo library access is optional. The app is fully usable without it.
Population +1 may request access to your contacts to make it easier to share birth announcements or add family members to your keepsake book. If you grant access:
Contacts access is optional. You can enter names and details manually.
Population +1 includes a built-in lullaby player. Audio files are bundled within the app itself — no audio is streamed from the internet. The app may request background audio permission so lullabies continue playing while the screen is off or while you use other apps. No audio data is recorded or transmitted.
The app may use your device's motion sensors for interactive animations and gentle shake-to-play features. Sensor data is used only in real time for interactive effects and is never stored or transmitted.
Population +1 may request location access to record your baby's birth location as part of the keepsake birth announcement. Location is used only if you explicitly add it to a memory entry. It is stored locally in that memory entry and is never transmitted. Location access is optional.
Population +1 makes no network requests. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or data brokers embedded in the app. The app is designed to work entirely offline.
We do not use crash reporting services that might capture device information or app state.

Population +1 complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) by design — we do not collect any online information from or about children.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above and may notify you through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
